Originality

Listen, Be Silent & Talk... is all you can do in this country if you are from a low or a middle-class family. You can only watch your country being destroyed by some old, filthy politicians who are in their last resort, having fun by gathering money so that even their great-great-great grandson won’t have to work...
You know that the road-construction work which is blocked in front of your house is just because someone has pocketed the money that came for the work but you stay silent. You know the M.P/M.L.A candidate of your area is a criminal but you stay silent. You know most of the things that shouldn’t be happening around you but you just listen and stay silent...
Now what the hell in this world makes you silent?
The answer to that will be the cowardice inside you. But again, why do you fear?
B’coz either you don’t have guts or you yourself is involved in a same type of criminal act which has made you stay silent.
If these reasons don’t apply on you then you must are a saint or someone who has nothing to do with this country...
What do you do after you know about the corruption and crimes going on in-front of you?
You Listen & Stay Silent...
What else???
You go to your friends or somewhere to pass your time, to clubs, coffee shops, tea-stalls and you start talking...
Hot discussion on politics, crime, system and our 50 something year old constitution and etc and etc...
And the End results:
“The whole system is corrupted, yaar.”
Or
“Will these politicians ever change?”...
“Will these politicians ever die?”...
“Can our country change?”...
“How can a 50 year old constitution help in the progress of a fast growing nation?”...
“Will this constitution ever change?”...
“If the system changes, our country will be the best in this world.”...
“This country is never going to improve.”...
“If we were rich, we would have done this & we would have done that....”
And Blah....blah.....blah............
Many ways of speaking the same thing...
There is nothing that is in our hands...
But ask yourself one question: “Are doing everything right that is in your hands???”
No one’s perfect... We just have to try our best.
Last Saturday, I met this man on a tea-stall. He was talking trash about The Govt. & of course the system. He told me that one of his works was pending in a Govt. office. So, he paid some money-under the-table (Bribed) to an officer after which his work was done...
According to him, the officer who took the money to do his work was corrupted...
Can anybody please tell me, ““What should the person who gives bribe be called?””
You must be thinking, “This boy here talks too much in his blog... What does he do 4 this country?”
Well to that, all I can say is:
“I don’t throw wrappers on the street”
“I don’t waste water by leaving my tap open”
“I switch-off every electrical equipment when they are not in use”
“I don’t bribe anyone to do my work”
And last but not the least,
“I stand up whenever I hear our ‘National Anthem’.”

It may seem very childish to any of you...
But trust me, I’m very proud of doing all this.
Coz, if I’m doing everything that is in my hand correctly; when time comes, I can do bigger & better things for my mother land, my beloved country- “India”.
“Jai Hind!”...P!

  1. Normal thoughts weaved beautifully. These feelings come to everyone's mind at least ones in their life time.
But sometimes we don't listen to our conscience or simply ignore it. Everyone wants to raise a voice and again the thought comes... is it going to change anything?

    Nicely written.
